The hilarious Elden Ring manga adaptation confirms the only way for Tarnished warriors to carry their Flasks if they are only wearing underwear.

The newly published Elden Ring comedy manga finally reveals where the Tarnished store their Flasks: in their underwear. The open-world soulslike epic gives players multiple different Flasks that fulfill a variety of purposes, ranging from healing with the Flask of Crimson Tears to applying custom buffs with the Flask of Wondrous Physick. Elden Ring Flask upgrades make the healing item an even stronger part of each adventurer's arsenal, and the fantasy RPG's manga adaptation reveals where the Tarnished keep these important items.

While Elden Ring is a grandiose tale of ancient wars and demigod rulers, the game's recently released manga adaptation puts a hilarious twist on the soulslike experience. The manga portrays the Tarnished as a bumbling dimwit instead of a noble hero, and the game's over-the-top fantasy aspects are portrayed with tongue-in-cheek humor. For example, the Tarnished interrupts Varre's infamous tutorial speech by smacking him in the head with a club. Melina is also made into a comedic mastermind as she tells Torrent to stop "horsing around" and displays dismay upon finding the nearly naked Tarnished. The funny Elden Ring manga adaptation is completely official, however, and the story may actually reveal key lore about the Lands Between.

As pointed out by Reddit user Durandal_II (via TheGamer), a particularly quirky scene in the Elden Ring manga reveals that the Tarnished store their Flasks by sticking them to their butts. In the manga's first chapter the nearly naked Tarnished wakes up to discover two Flasks of Crimson Tears have been stuck to his bottom without his knowledge, which explains how the player character first comes upon these extremely useful consumable items. The Tarnished is eventually able to remove the bottles from his butt and instead sheaths them in his underwear, providing a convenient way for all Elden Ring characters to keep their healing items handy regardless of regalia.

While an Elden Ring lore book would be a convenient way to shed light on the Lands Between, the game's hilarious parody manga is a fine source of lore too. Alongside the secret of Flask storage, the manga reveals other small tidbits like that fact that Rykard was originally blonde and Varre enjoys gardening. The FromSoftware title's Tarnished protagonist is also given an official name, Asebito, which is simply Japanese for "Tarnished." Of course, the comedic nature of the Elden Ring manga means that these bits of lore are likely non-canon.

Fans have long wondered where Elden Ring characters, particularly the underwear-clad Wretch classes, store their inventory of items. The game's manga adaptation thankfully answers this question by showing that the Tarnished merely sticks the bottles to their butt cheeks, or sheaths them in their underwear. The manga is certainly surreal, but fans will no doubt appreciate knowing where their Elden Ring character sticks useful items.
