As a food writer, I'm always on the hunt for the latest and greatest kitchen tools. And while I've tried hundreds of new launches and products over the years, somehow this Simple Modern Tumbler is still the one item I can't stop talking about. A viral TikTok video convinced me to buy the Simple Modern tumbler TK years ago, and I've been more than impressed since. It's not only the most aesthetically pleasing and sleek water cup I've ever come across, but it is one of the best performing. It keeps liquids cold for 24 hours thanks to its double-walled vacuum insulation; I've even witnessed it prevent ice cubes from melting overnight. It also comes with two durable plastic straws and different lids: a splash-proof straw lid and a leak-proof flip lid for hot drinks. And it's truly leakproof — I've dropped it, toppled it over, and even tossed it in my bag without a drop of water getting out. The large 24-ounce capacity and convenient plastic straw have also inadvertently upped my water take, since I can grab it on the go and don't have to open it every time I need a sip.
It also comes in 40 different colors and patterns as well as six sizes ranging from 12 to 32 ounces. My personal favorite is the 24-ounce orchard sangria, which has a matte magenta surface that has emerged from several dishwashing cycles looking good as new. No matter what capacity you pick, the Simple Modern tumblers have a compact 2.8-inch base that will fit into almost any size cup holder, making it a great product to take along to work, trips to grocery stores, errands, or farmer's markets. I've even witnessed several gym-goers in New York City bring it along to their workouts.
I am extremely passionate about this item — so much so that I now own six 24-ounce Simple Modern cups. The brand has become my go-to water cup for the last two years, and I truly can't live without it. I've even convinced my entire family to swap out single-use plastic bottles for these tumblers. (They fell in love with its size, numerous colors, and portability, too.)
